We tend to think we are discerning when in fact we are only judging. Discerning and judging come from different places. At least know where you are. If you find yourself dichotomising, you are probably in the small self and just judging.
If you think you are practicing, you are not.
You can enliven your vehicles while remaining in the Heart.
What is out there is just your reflection. Don’t get lost in it, no matter how glorious it is. We must return to our true Self, which is the Perceiver of that reflection.
People who seek pleasure and call it love or happiness end up in misery, with neither love nor happiness. Know the difference between pleasure and love.
Do not be afraid to face what you have in front of you. Face it, learn from it, act appropriately, and then you can move on. If we run, we run into that which we flee and it will be worse than if we had faced it the first time. Have courage.
Are you the one doing your practice or is your small self organizing and controlling your sadhana?
The knower (we) appears to mistake the faculty of knowing for being.
Familiar and safe are not the same thing. What feels familiar is often unsafe–we’re just accustomed to it.
Going in is not going away.
